First time in a kayak and I was worried. The guide spent twenty minutes on technique before we launched and by the end I was paddling into caves. The water is very cold and completely worth it.

Kayaking Adventure on Komani Lake
Overview
Komani is nearly windless most mornings, which makes it one of the easiest big-water paddles in the Balkans. A support boat carries the kayaks to a launch point deep in the canyon, so you spend your energy on the good part rather than the transit.
Operated by Wild Tour Albania · licensed guides, insured boats
Highlights
- Sit-on-top and touring kayaks, singles and doubles, all included
- Support boat carries you and the boats past the busy stretch first
- Side canyons and caves that only a kayak can enter
- Guide is a qualified paddlesport instructor — first-timers are genuinely fine
- Swim stop halfway, with a floating platform to climb back onto
